South Poll
Our South Poll cattle are from North Alabama and are produced by Teddy Gentry from the band Alabama. These red cattle were developed to thrive in the heat and humidity of the Southeast while performing well on the natural forage at the farm. Qualities found in South Poll Beef includes exceptional tenderness, flavor profile, superior marbling, high in Omega-3 fatty acids, and high in vitamins A & E. Their hardiness, growth, and adaptability make them a natural fit for the way we raise cattle here at Allen River Ranch.
Brangus
Our Brangus cattle are well suited for the hot, humid climate of our region and thrive on the natural forage grown throughout our pastures. These black cattle are bred and raised here at Allen River Ranch, with our heifers producing the next generation of calves on the ranch. Brangus Beef is known for excellent marbling and natural tenderness. Their ability to grow and perform well in our environment makes them an important part of our herd.
Our Beef
By bringing Brangus and South Poll cattle together, we’re working toward producing beef with the qualities we value most: tenderness, flavor, and beautiful marbling. Our beef is naturally rich in heart-healthy Omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and vitamins A and E, along with beta-carotene, a nutrient associated with the natural pigments found in forage-fed cattle. This cross is well suited to our environment and the natural way we raise our cattle, creating the foundation for high-quality beef that we’re proud to bring from our pastures to your table.
